Unbelievably beautiful high end system!

This audio system is the most beautiful and high tech looking system I have ever seen in my life. Considering myself as a guru in the audio field, I have visited many countries, such as Japan and Germany in search for high end and fashionable audio equipments. I was glad that I found this one in Japan.
I found this unit on display in downtown Tokyo's electronics shop. Even in the display room, its look stood out among all the other 30 or so audio systems. It also had a price tag of 89,800 yen (retail price is 110,000 yen), the highest among all consumer grade MiniDisc+CD compact audio systems in that particular electronic shop. When I first saw it, I knew I had to bring it home. After an hour of bargaining, I successfuly lowered the price to 80,000 yen with no additional tax. This is about $655. Now, that's what I call a deal!
The electronics clerk later found out that Sharp only produces this unit at 5,000 units per month and they just ran out of stock. So I had to come back about 2 days later to pick up the unit. Anyway, after going through the crowds, JR trains, I finally managed to bring this heavy system to my hotel.
The look of this unit is stunning. The CD/MD/Tuner component and the amplifier is no thicker than the width of my Sony MZ-R900 MiniDisc recorder. I have never seen such a slim high end system. CD/MD component has a all brushed stainless silver casting with a motorized disc loading mechanism. The LCD panel has 7 different colors and you can choose to set the colors at "Initial" (changes color according to the function you choose), "Fix" (one color for all operations), "Weekly" (one fixed color per day), "Random" (displays all colors and select one at random). The LCD panel itself is extremely clear and has this 3D depth. The amplifier has a all chrome stainless steel casting. It's looks like a silver mirror that people use back in the 17/18th century. Overall the look of the system unbelievably beautiful.
Now we get down to the sound of the unit. Excellent! Although the system was made entirely in Malaysia, which I was disappointed to find out, sound sound is nevertheless excellent. Treble is clear and rich in bass. When I turn on the Surround option, to my suprise, the unit did no project a lousy "empty" surround sound that most consumer grade audio systems do. Instead, it was close to a true "surround" sound. You could hear the depth of the music. Overall I would rate the sound quality projected by this system 9.5/10. As according to Sharp's website, SD-NX10 uses their newly developed 1-bit technology which that uses Super Digital Amp" (next generation sampling rate 2.8 million in 1 second reading, equivalent to 64X normal CD reading). Please see T-Station's product page for the details.
Options wise, SD-NX10 only comes with 2X/1x MD/CD recording functions (MDLP), programmed track playback, alarm, sleep, 4 preset EQ (FLAT, HEAVY, VOCAL, SOFT), and X-Bass. It has 1 AUX and 1 optic inputs; 1 AUX and headphone outputs. However, high end systems usually aren't fansy on additional functions. I am glad that Sharp did a good job to provide enough functions that satisfies both my needs as a consumer while maintaining a high end image of this system.
Also, one of the best parts is that this unit is equiped with World Band tuner. This means I will be able to listen to the radio even in the US!
Overall, I got a great deal. The cost of the unit was brought down to $600 USD. Considering this unit is such a eye catching system, and that the sound quality actually does live up to its designs, this is by far the best audio system there is available in the market.
