I bought this AM-F70 3 years ago and it still runs strong, never had a problem with it and the quality in sound and build was and still is one of the best I have heard. The only problem I have got is the Lithium Ion Battery has got weak and I cannot locate any dealer to replace it, any ideas for US dealers, please mail me... playtime2@hotmail.com

Best Features for an MD this old

This player has to be the best. I got it a few months ago used...in MINT condition. The backlit remote and LCD is what made me stop considering the NetMD's by sony. THe netMDs may be smaller, but the features are lacking, unless you get the top model (which doesn't have backlit display) MDLP isn't on the model, but mono recording is just as nice because you get twice the amount of space (160 minutes on a 80 minute MD) . Optical recording is what i use it the most for. Record MP3's to CD-RW and use optical cable to get the highest quality results. I don't find a problem with the remote at all. The earphones are decent quality, but the chord is a bit short. The job dial is excellent for titling and you can also title songs while they are being recorded. There is also a rechargable battery and a battery case that holds 3 AA batteries. Just put some velco on the back of the player and battery case and it works fine. In the end i decided to sacrifice speed, MDLP, and battery life (compared to netMD's) for this player. THe features that come with this player beat out any of the feature that come with the tiny displays and capabilities that the netMD's possess.
