Good Value

I have had this player for just over a year to date. It is great value, I got mine at Hong Kong for around $110US. Although it has a comparitively cheap price tag the unit itself is not 'cheap' looking. It has an attractive unique design and the white sleek remote adds to the artistic value. The player is sturdy and the sound quality is as good as any good quality CD player. Although I swapped the budget headphones that came with the unit for a pair of Sony MDRE888's as soon as I got it.
The one dissappointment is the antishock system. It is only 20 seconds, from my experience I found it impossible to use whilst jogging. Although for most other scenarios it was just fine. The case that panasonic provides is a shocker and not worth bothering with.
Considering it's price tag, this unit is great value, especially for a first time buyer.

What can I say, when you don't have the money for a Sony MZ-E900, you are close to being hopeless to find a nice looking MiniDisc player. But Panasonic SJ-MJ33 saves my day! Great sound quality. Small and sturdy with Panasonic's signiture "push and eject" disc ejecting function. Personally, I don't think it's all that convenient, but it is definitely an unique disc ejecting system. It also prevents dust from getting into your player. Anyway, the design is great. I got it for only $120 in Japan. But the alternative design gives the player a $200 value! Check it out in MiniDisc T-Station's product page. It looks better and sturdier in reality. You probably won't be able to get it anywhere outside of Japan, but if you happen to see one, don't hesitate to get one! It's a great economic player.
