4.0/5.04.0/5.04.0/5.04.0/5.04.0/5.0   Superb player I love...
Reviewer: Anonymous     May 16, 2003
I agree with all the good things being said by the other reviewers about the ST770 player, except that I would be thrilled even further if they have added a treble EQ with the Bass. Nevertheless, lovable set. this!

5.0/5.05.0/5.05.0/5.05.0/5.05.0/5.0   What a tiny, beautiful and high quality player!
Reviewer: Sebastien Pinte (sebastien.pinte@free.fr) from North of France     July 17, 2002
I wanted the smallest and highest quality MD player, and after much time, I decided to buy a Sharp, not Sony because I have had two players of this brand and I wasn't be satisfied of the sound quality. So, it was Sharp MD-ST770!

What a good idea I have ordered from Hyperjack! When I opened the little box, what I seen was a little tiny player, incredible! Probably the smallest of the market. Where are the electronics?! Very small (from 10mm (bottom) to 14mm (top)), leight, very solid (all metal including lazer mechanism (no plastic!)), very good magnificent design with 3 LED which twinkle when you do an action on the player like volume, fast forward/reward or when the player's playing an MD! This thing is alive! ;-)) Remote control is absolutely leight, fabulous except of the little joystick which is a little hard to command. But it's a detail! Beautiful big backlit LCD with 2 colors and little graphics playing. Beautiful plastic docking station seems like porcelain.

Now, the sound! Aaaaaah! At last very good sound with very good bass with 3 steps: I put it to "2" sometimes to "3", but want no more!! Treble to bass are very good represented, good stereo, sound absolutely clean (no interference), line out is LOUD for earphones and for speakers, incredible! With my Sony SRS-Z500, it is total harmony! I don't obtained that with my old MZ-E90.

Adjustements can be done on beep sound action (Yes/No), autoloadplay when a MD is inserted (Y/N), autopower save (Y/N with 3 choices). Very perfect! However, adjustements of treble and bass separetely with multiple levels (like MZ-E909), or control speed play are things that I would appraciate on this model. But it is already perfect like that!

In conclusion, I suggest you definitely to buy it: smallest, leight, beautiful design and functionality; it doesn't fear MZ-E909 or MJ90. Certainly the best player actually on the market (with Aiwa HX400?)!
 Now Minidisc informed consumer!

5.0/5.05.0/5.05.0/5.05.0/5.05.0/5.0   Tiny, Fantastic sounding trendy player
Reviewer: Marc Perrett from Milton Keynes, England     November 11, 2001
I wanted the smallest player i could find, and this search led me to the Sharp MD-ST770.

It is only 11.5mm in width (a full 1.2mm thinner than the smallest sony player for those who are counting) but packs into this tiny space MDLP, a 3-level bass EQ, and three cool LED lights displaying what play mode is currently active.

The player is also one of the lighest
(just over 100g with the battery), but lasts over 70Hrs with just the internal battery, or an amazing 142Hrs with the AA as well.

The Remote Control is well designed and is of a two color backlit type (a lot more interesting to look at than just plain blue), and has a thumb controlled joystic for easy opperation of all major functions.

The most amazing this about this player is the sound quality. Tunes pound at you with such quality and range its like being there, in fact i swear that Fran from Travis was actually in my mind yesterday..... I was a bit apprehencive of minidisc as my dads player (an old sony) sounded really tinny, and the volume was not sufficient. But I had to give up before the sharp did on the volume stakes to save my hearing from damage - its LOUD!

In conclusion the MD ST770 is the smallest, best looking, top sounding, and one of the lightest players around, Buy it immediatly.
