I want to have The Recorder.Recently I have purchased this back-in-history MD.You know what? This is THE BEST recorder I've ever owned! For the fraction of the price of the new high tech, and with no big bangs and whisels, you get the quality recording which you go for.Even if you use the cheap mic for computer, you will have grate results.Again, this is THE Recorder

i have just got a minidisc player from my dad. i got the mz-r30, and i think that it is the best thing on earth, all my mates have minidisc's and they are all made of plastic. But not mine, the hardend outer aluminyum shell and the simple controls make it the best player around, dispite what anybody says!!

I've owned the MZ-R30 for several years. Well built aluminum case so, despite its size, it seems quite sturdy. Has most of the features of a home MD deck minus the fancier track editing commands. Optical input is nice to record direct digital; analog input for non-digital sources; microphone input. Battery is long-lived at 8 hours play/approx. 5 hours record. I like the headphone in-line remote control although it doesn't have the LCD display built-in like that of some later units.
