Affordable high end audio system

When I saw this in Japan, I knew I have to bring it home. Even if that meant I had to travel with it all the way to Seattle.
This is definitely one of the most beautiful compact audio system I have seen! It's all black body, along with the stainless steel operating panel gives out this high class feeling. Oh, and I forgot to mention the "BMW" style red-wine color LCD panel. You can even elavate the unit, along with its speakers, with stainless steel studs that came with the unit. The whole thing is just too attractive and seducing to resist.
Sound quality is great. Powerful but crystal clear. No distortion even when you turn it all the way to max - although I do admit that I didn't leave my beloved IT-2001 at max for too long. You get to choose from three different sound presets. Believe it or not, this classic toaster looking bookshelf system can rock your whole house (assuming it's not too big) when you turn on the bass boost.
What more can I say about it? It's affordable! With the current exchange rate, it will only cost you $370. Isn't that a crazy price? The IT-2001 is the 2nd best compact system that Kenwood has launched for its 2001 models. The BR-2001 (one step up) will cost you about $600 and the VH-5MD is one step down and will cost you about $270. It's so cheap, everybody should own one. Take a look of these units in T-Station's product page.
2X CD-to-MD dubbing. Fast and easy. 1 AUX out and 1 AUX in. One digital in and one COAX in.
The disadvanges would be that it's not MDLP ready. And it just looks too good. I am in love with my IT-2001!
